Professional background
Dr. Roi Mano is a specialist in urological surgery, a graduate of oncology in oncology, and a senior physician in the urology department at Tel Aviv Medical Center (Ichilov Hospital).
After completing his studies at the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion as part of the academic reserve, he served as a military physician in field units. Upon completion of his service, he specialized in urological surgery at Rabin Medical Center, Beilinson and Sharon Hospital. During his internship, he conducted a year of research at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA. After completing his internship, he completed an in-service training with the Association of Oncologists in New York, USA, during which he gained knowledge and experience in performing robotic and open surgeries and led studies dealing with urinary tract tumors.
Dr. Mano currently serves as a senior physician in the urology department at Tel Aviv Medical Center and focuses on treating patients with prostate, bladder and kidney tumors. In addition, he serves as a senior clinical lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University.
Areas of Practice
Prostate Cancer - Dr. Mano advises on a prostate cancer screening test including an MRI scan and genomic tests before deciding on the need for a prostate biopsy. In addition, he performs standard biopsies and fusion biopsies of the prostate under a transrectal and transprinacial approach including under general anesthesia, and also actively monitors patients with low-risk prostate cancer.
Bladder cancer - assessment and diagnosis of the cause of bleeding in the urine including a cystoscopy examination if necessary, and resection of tumors from the bladder through the urethra after initial diagnosis of bladder tumors. Advises on the treatment of superficial and muscular tumors of the bladder.
Kidney tumors - advises on the diagnosis and treatment of kidney tumors, and actively monitors small kidney tumors.
Testicular cancer - diagnosis and treatment of testicular lumps, and follow-up of testicular resection with a diagnosis of non-metastatic testicular cancer.
Benign prostate enlargement - In addition to his work in the field of uro-oncology, Dr. Mano also treats benign prostate enlargement.
